- Dr.Zhivago by Boris Pasternak is a story about the life styles of the rich and poor citizens during the Russian Revolution in 1917. It starts with Doctor Zhivago as a wealthy man living in large home in St. Petersburg and a girl named Lara who is a poor girl living in her mothers clothing shop. They live separate lives, but once the war begins, their lives intertwine. Lara's husband is in the war and she goes off to look for him as a nurse for "the reds". Dr. Zhivago also in rolls in the war as a doctor for "the reds"and during the war they meet.
- The Russian Revolution, year: 1917, location: Russia, a two stage war, February and October. The revolution removed Russia from WWI.
- Possible Research Question:
- What role did propaganda play to convince the people to over throw the Tsarist? How was propaganda used to convince people that Communism was right for Russia?

ReplyDeleteI think your question is good, but may be difficult to find information on. I'd say start your inquiry process by looking at the life of the author first. If you deon't get much in the first couple of days, I'd say abandon ship given our time constraints. Wwe can talk after today to see if you get any info in your initial research inquiry.
